Fresh bread, fresh revelation

Bread of Life

I saw an object being kneaded, tossed and turned over and over again. I focused in on it to be able to get a better view of what I was witnessing. The object became a pile of dough that was being forcefully and controllably kneaded. I tried to interpret the vision as fresh bread for me to partake in. That the Lord was sharing with me new revelation and then I heard Him speak, “You have the recipe of the bread of life.” He wasn’t giving it to me, I already had it.

As I watched pieces of the dough being torn off, like when I’ve made challah dozens of times before, the pieces were being pulled off to make multiple loaves. Then as I watched, I realized that the source, the first dough, was growing as the smaller loaves were being torn off. An increase and multiplication of the Kingdom of God is released as we use it.

I had this picture about a week before Pesach. I thought of it often as I began to prepare to get rid of all yeast and leaven in my house and eat Matzah and nothing risen for 8 days. Oftentimes yeast is represented as sin as it is evident during the feast of unleavened bread but, as Jahi so passionately reminded me, so is the Kingdom of God.

In relation to my vision, I began to relate these two scriptures with Pesach and unleavened bread how familiar and profound a picture. As the feast is revealing, even a small amount can ruin a whole batch but how much more powerful is the Kingdom of God when a little bit is released.

Matthew 13:33 33He told them still another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough."

During this fast, the Lord brought a major level of breakthrough in my life of things that have haunted me for years. During Passover we go through the whole story of Deliverance, and what better way to relate to the Biblical feast than to be delivered of such daily strongholds? Through the whole week, God reminded me that He is the source and has given me the recipe for fresh bread every day.

I broke the unleavened bread “feast” (or fast) with fresh made challah by our community’s own baker, Thaddaeus. It was an amazing way to end a week of revelation and deliverance.

1Corinthians 5:6&7

6Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough? 7Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Though this year is a year of growth in responsibility and leadership for me, God is speaking so clearly and powerfully as His grace increases and He draws near.
